Mariola Sztwiertnia – Clinical Hypnotherapist & Psychotherapist - Online

Hello, my name is Mariola. I am a certified clinical hypnotherapist, psychotherapist, and hold a Master’s degree in Psychology (MA Honours). I work using a trauma-informed approach, supporting adults, adolescents, and children in restoring emotional balance, a sense of safety, and inner stability.

I provide online hypnotherapy sessions in a safe, calm, and personalised way. My work combines modern hypnotherapy techniques with psychological knowledge and a solution-focused approach, supporting meaningful and lasting change.

My goal is to help you better understand yourself, release internal blocks, and regain a greater sense of calm, confidence, and control in your life.

About Me | MS Hypnotherapy

My Qualifications and Approach

I bring together strong academic and clinical training:

  • Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) – Clifton Practice
  • Currently completing HPD accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)
  •  Master’s degree in Psychology (MA Honours) – University of Dundee
  • Training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – The Specialist Academy
  • Certification in trauma-informed care, stabilisation, and safety (peer group support / coach)
  • Professional memberships: CNHC, NCH, AfSFH

I work individually and in groups with children, young people, and adults, supporting clients experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, emotional challenges, past experiences, and unhelpful habits or beliefs.

In my practice, I integrate Solution Focused Therapy with clinical hypnotherapy and elements of CBT, drawing on current understanding of neurobiology and the functioning of the nervous system to support a process that is structured, practical, and focused on meaningful change. A trauma-informed approach allows me to guide each process in a safe, stabilising way, adapted to the individual pace of every client.

I believe that every person already has the inner resources needed for change — sometimes they simply need the right support to access them.

In my work, I am guided by:

  • empathy and an individualised approach
  • safety and trust
  • a holistic view (mind–emotion–body)
  • a focus on solutions and strengths
  • measurable, meaningful outcomes

I aim to create a space where you can feel comfortable, supported, and free from judgement while working on what truly matters to you.

All sessions are conducted online, offering flexibility and comfort wherever you are.

Your therapeutic process is tailored to your needs, goals, and pace. During sessions, you can expect:

  • a personalised treatment plan
  • a safe, supportive environment
  • a Solution-Focused approach
  • integration of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy techniques
  • practical work aimed at real-life improvements

I support clients in areas such as:

  • stress and emotional overwhelm
  • anxiety, tension, and excessive worry
  • sleep difficulties and insomnia
  • low confidence and self-esteem
  • emotional regulation challenges
  • past experiences and trauma
  • habit and behavioural patterns change
  • limiting beliefs and internal blocks

The goal of our work is to improve your quality of life, increase inner calm, strengthen self-understanding, and help you feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and decisions.

Working with people is not just a profession for me, it is a responsibility and a commitment. I approach each process individually, with attention to your needs and readiness for change.

One of the most meaningful aspects of my work is witnessing moments when clients experience relief, clarity, a sense of empowerment, and a greater sense of calm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is online hypnotherapy effective?

Yes. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions when conducted in a suitable, comfortable environment.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and relaxation, where you remain fully aware and in control.

How long does therapy take?

The duration of the process depends on individual needs, the goals of the work, and each person’s pace of change.

  • In general practice, it most often involves around 8–12 sessions (this may be shorter or longer depending on individual needs)
  • For simple phobias, it usually takes around 3 sessions
  • For smoking cessation, it is carried out in a single, intensive session
Is hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?

Yes, for those who are open to the process and willing to engage in personal change work.

Do I need prior experience with hypnosis?

No. Each session is guided step by step and adapted to your comfort level.
